HCCC Newsletter - September 26

Hi Members,

It is great that we are now in Level 3 and more businesses can open for click and collect options. We hope this also means we can move down to Level 2 in the not too distant future and start cricket training. SportNZ met with a variety of sporting organisations this week and have updated their tables on what is permitted. Check out their website here for Alert Level 3 information.

Cricket Training
Given the news that we will be at Level 3 for at least 2 weeks we have decided to cancel the junior training sessions tentatively booked for week 1 of the school holidays 4-8th October. Fingers crossed we will be able to start training the second week. Seniors if we move to Level 2 on the Wednesday then training should begin on Thursday 7th but we will keep you posted.

New this season:
Youth Midweek Social Cricket U13-U16
Our new midweek social cricket for 13-16 year olds (yr 8 - yr 11) is aimed at those not wanting to play the more competitive Saturday grades but still want to hang out playing cricket with their mates, and for those that want a bit more cricket in their lives that isn't as competitive as the Saturday grades they play in. Games will be week about between Metro Park and Kaipara Flats (Warkworth).
Register your interest at www.hibiscuscricket.co.nz/registerIf you want to make up your own team or play with particular mates enter that into the notes section.
Just $50 for the season starting Wednesday 3rd November.

Sponsors Corner
Over the next few newsletters we will be introducing you to our sponsors. Please support them as much as you can, and if you would like to sponsor the club to any degree please get in touch, we would love you to join our team. This week we have:

Pak N Save Silverdale
A massive thanks to Vinrod Bhaga and his team at Pak n Save Silverdale. Pak n Save have been part of HCCC cricket family for the last 2 seasons and we are happy to to say we have extended that relationship for 3 more years. Vinrod is an avid lover of all sports, with cricket and hockey being up there as his favorites, however if there is sport on TV, in his downtime, Vinrod will be watching. We greatly appreciate the support for our Cricket Club and all that is done for the wider community too.

Super Liquor Hilltop and Super Liquor Grand Drive
Hitesh Patel and Parminder Kainth are part of the team on and off the field. Not only do they deliver great service and great prices in store, both deliver weekly on the field, happily rolling up their sleeves and rolling the arm over on a regular basis at a quality level. And just like their hard hitting batting you will see hard hitting prices in store. Thanks to you and your friendly instore teams for all you do for HCCC.

Bayleys
A huge thanks to the team at Bayleys who have branches right over the Rodney district for supporting HCCC and Rodney cricket. Mark Macky and Kirsty Macky are very well engaged in our community in many areas including cricket and we thank them and the whole Bayleys team for all they do for HCCC. A special mention to Raymond Barnes and Hamish Barton who have dedicated their time and valued experience helping us strengthen our whole junior program in the Rodney district. If you are thinking of selling your home please reach out to the team at Bayleys www.bayleys.co.nz/inthenorth
